It is an independently funded institution that was first associated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat and is currently associated with Gujarat Technological University in Ahmadabad. The C. K. Pithawala College of Engineering and Technology is a self-financed institution that began operations in December 1998 and is currently affiliated with Gujarat Technological University in Ahmedabad after having previously been associated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat. The Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust, established in February 1965, oversees the C. K. Pithawala College of Engineering and Technology. The trust’s goals and objectives are to offer higher education resources to students without regard to their caste, community, sex, or religion and to conduct exact and social science research.

In Gujarat State’s engineering colleges in the late 1990s, the intake capacity was severely insufficient to meet the demand for engineering graduates. Many students must apply for admission to universities in other Indian states like Maharashtra and Karnataka, limited by the lack of engineering boards of education in Gujarat. Given the reality, the Navyug Vidyabhavan Trust founded the C. K. Pithawala College of Engineering and Technology in 1998 under the auspices of the trust in order to carry out the duty of offering technical education.

Vision: to prepare engineering graduates with integration method knowledge and professional ability to satisfy local and worldwide requirements for the engineering profession.
