Indian Maritime University Claim

Indian Maritime University (IMU) is central university recognized through the Act of Parliament (Act22) on 14 November 2008. IMU was set up under the patronage of the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. Apart from the six campuses (in Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, etc.), IMU also has 18 affiliated institutes. IMU Mumbai Port campus is situated at South Mumbai Hay Bunder Mumbai.  

IMU has shown exceptional student support throughout the years by providing internships and placements among various multinational corporations. The university has signed several MoUs with national, international organizations, permitting student and faculty exchange programmes, information exchanges, guest lectures, etc., for the whole academic experience. The university is eligible for state scholarships, and students with the personal state domicile can avail financial aid from the state scholarships portal.
